Job Description:
We are Looking for an experienced Marine Surveyor to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be an experienced surveyor who might have sailed as a Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer and has hands-on experience in tanker operations and a strong understanding of marine surveys, inspections, and vessel compliance requirements. This role involves conducting surveys, preparing reports, and providing expert advice to clients and management.
Requirements:
- • Conduct marine surveys and inspections of vessels, including tankers, offshore vessels, and other types of commercial ships.
- • Assess vessel condition, performance, and compliance with international regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, etc.).
- • Prepare detailed survey reports, recommendations, and certificates as required.
- • Provide technical guidance and support to clients, vessel operators, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with shipowners, charterers, and classification societies during inspections and surveys.
- • Ensure survey operations comply with statutory, class, and company requirements.
- Assist in incident investigations and vetting inspections as needed.
- • Support business development initiatives by providing expert inputs on technical matters.
Responsibilities:
- Qualifications and Experience:
- • Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer certification is mandatory.
- • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in survey / audit / inspection.
- • Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other relevant maritime regulations.
- • Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- • Proficiency in MS Office and survey reporting software.
- Preferred Skills:
- • Familiarity with vetting inspections, audits, and incident reporting.
- • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- • Ability to work independently and manage multiple survey assignments efficiently.
